  • I wonder if the extra five inches is worth double the price (comparing to the Aldi 65" deal)

    • this one is "smart"

You can "smarten" it with a Chromecast cheaply.

    Lol

  • I'm a newbie to this sort of thing - is this TV 4K?

      UHD is 4K

      • 4K - 4096 x 2160
        UHD - 3840 x 2160

Watch for the one minute startup. I have the Soniq UHD 65" TV. Also, forget any firmware updates.

    • Also, forget the smart features, at least on the Soniq 65" 4k I got. Barely useable unless you have absolutely no other option. I couldn't find any app on their store that was up to date enough to support 4k YouTube or file etc, and sideloading more APKs was difficult and didn't help.

    • Had one firmware update since new.

      • Which didn't change or improve anything.

        • Dunno about that. There wasn't anything wrong with the stock firmware and the update seems fine too. So maybe it fixed something I didn't know was a problem. I only use it as a monitor and never as a TV or use it to surf or to install any apps.

Surely nobody can turn down a tv 'which makes image more refresher'

    • I think it makes the image smell better too.
