OnePlus 3T 3003 or 3010?

I am planning on getting my next phone and my eyes are set on a Oneplus 3T. Since we can't officially get the phone, I've decided to buy it from eBay (also due to the current 20% off digital sale, right now for $559 AUD).
Now, I am having trouble figuring out which model to get, so its either the A3003 or A3010.

What are the major differences of both, if any, and which would better suit me if I'm with Vodafone?

3010 is the Chinese ROM, but most sellers flash the standard Oxygen OS anyway. I believe the 3010 is a bit cheaper as well.

    • So if they don't flash it, we can do it ourselves ?

Yeah of course. I bought mine from DWI, as do many Aussies. They pre-flash it, and shipping is pretty damn fast from HK (received within a week). As below, the bands differ, but for Australian use those added bands offer no benefit (if travelling overseas etc you may reconsider).

        • Ah yeah DWI. I was looking at them before but I was waiting for some kind of sale. Aaaaand I just missed out on the vaya shop discount. So I'm back to eyeing DWI.

Since you have the OP3T, have you had any problems with the phone so far?

@luckyeddy: only had it for a week, but none so far. Battery life is awesome. Very snappy and fast as well.

        • @beaver2233: Sounds good to me! I'll get one soon too! But last (weird) question, when you put the phone on silent does it function properly, as in camera sounds are suppressed as well?

    Band support differs between models:
    A3003: LTE band 1/3/5/7/8/20/38/40
    A3010: LTE band 1/3/5/7/8/38/39/40/41

And since neither support band 28, they are going to be as good/bad as each other in Australia.

The bands 20, 39 and 41 arent used in Aus - so essentially, they are going to work the same.

I'd personally go for the cheaper of the 2.

  • Is Band 28 really not a big deal? I was choosing between 3T and LG V20. I think I will get a v20

    • From what I hear band 28 is only for full coverage with Telstra and Optus (http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/mobile_phone_frequencies). I went and ordered the 3T, it was pretty cheap on Dicksmith!

      • yes i know, on DWI even cheaper

        • Actually, you save 7$ over DWI with the current CYBER voucher on dicksmith eBay ;)

        • @luckyeddy: I just realised today 3T Dual Sim will not be very useful because it's 4G+2G, Telstra already shut down 2g, and Optus will also shut down by the end of this month.
