Just started looking at 50 inch TV's for ~$1k price range.
Was hoping the OzBargain community can provide me with some suggestions. The TV's I've seen in this range include:

LG without a doubt, especially in that field.
With TV's of that size make sure the refresh rate is a minimum of 100hz…!! Some cheapies are only 50hz which is suited to sets 32" and below.
The LG set you mentions is 100hz. :-) Grab it.

I was told LG leads the way with samusung sony & Hisense being the best. Personally I went with samsung ku6000 when it was 1098 plus I was really impressed with the picture but Hisense put out some great stuff too just hate how slow they turn on. Had hisense previously
