Target's Southbank wooden play set is on sale, normally $1100 (save 36%). Looks like you can get free delivery via their eBay listing: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/182394277482

Apparently takes 2 people 8-10 hours to build, super fun!

    Can you comment on the timber quality? And time taken to assemble?

      The timber is REALLY soft and light, so you have to be very careful when putting it together as it's very easy to overtighten bolts/nuts/screws. I managed to crack a few of the smaller pieces but they are not structural.

      From memory the wood is cedar - it's treated but I wasn't happy with it. I had some decking oil left over and painted everything again.

      The assembly - me and another person did it over 3 days after work (approx 3-4 hours each day), and probably another 5 hours to paint it once it was assembled. It comes in two large boxes and it took forever to find the right piece at the beggining, as the instructions didn't say whether the piece you needed for the next part was in box 1 or box 2. If you have PLENTY of room and somewhere where kids can't get to and mess it all up, I'd suggest taking out all the pieces and putting them in some sort of order to make it easier to find. I reckon I lost a lot of time just turning the box inside out searching for pieces…
