    umm $200 for RGB lights?
    https://capitalsmarthomes.com.au/products/aeon-labs-z-wave-p…

    cant see any deal here

    • These are designed to work with home automation controllers, not just your regular crappy IR remote.

Yeh, not the cheapest way of doing it, could always buy your own 5050 LED RGBW Strip and the Fibaro RGBW controller, but that's more work than having a strip that just works.

Edit: Actually, after buying 5M RGBW Strip, 12V DC Power Supply and the $110~ Fibaro controller, these probably are cheaper with the 15% off.

      • Actually, the cheapest way to do it is get a Mi Light WiFi iBox controller (about $20), and a 4-Zone controller (about $10) for every LED strip you want to control. Can then control the lights with an app and/or a dedicated remote (about $10). Also there's a plugin for it in a number of home auto systems (domoticz, ifttt, etc - although the newer milight bridge does not appear to work with the Vera plugin sadly). Nice to have native direct z-wave support though.

  • Nano dimmers look awesome, tested any yet?

Wonder how they would fare with my LED lights that only the Fibaro dimmer works with, still doesn't get nearly as low as the manual switch could even with the bypass installed :(

    • Do we know if they are dimmers or just regular toggle switches? the description seem to contradict the title.
(haha @ seeing XeKToReX in the wild and away from WP)

There are two nano devices - one is a standard switch you'd use on appliances or lights that you don't want/need to dim, and one is a dimmer you'd use on lights.

What's up! I'm guessing you use a different name over at WP

Spaceman's got it right, there is also a Dual nano switch, should come to AU eventually.

Good thing about these nano dimmers is they support inductive loads, so should be able to run most ceiling fans, that's probably more interesting to me than whether they'll dim my LED's

        • I've replaced all the halogen lights in my saucer with LEDs except for the entertainment area where I had to keep them as I used X10 switches to dim the lights for movies and they didn't play well with LED. When I stare at the ceiling there, I think 'well, that's 300W or so going down the drain'. I know it will take a while to recoup the investment when I move over to the nano dimmers but it will also mean I will have got rid of the last of the X10….

        • @PlasticSpaceman: They're costing you Dollars! Literally Dollars!

        • @XeKToReX: I know! It hurts so much….. lol

Very Early testing done with some prototype's (110V version) and dimming was smooth and flicker free with a load as low as 5 watts! Here's hoping the finished product is just as good!

      • That's not bad, my 4x LED's in my Living Room dimmed to 1% are drawing 3.3w

Feel like there's something I'm missing about this Bypass module, would assume a minimum 25w with the bypass installed.

  • When are the Fibaro smoke detectors coming to Australia? Or have they and I've missed them?

    • +1

They're out, but look to be in pretty short supply!

  • Brilliant. Order for three of those nano dimmers on the way. Cheers.

  • The wall motes have me tempted….

  • any discount on the usb stick to get started?

    • Yeh, 15%
