Free 10-Day Sample of Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup SPF 10 in Your Shade In-Store

150

Saw this on facebook. Head to an Estee Lauder counter to get matched with your skin tone and take home a small plastic container of foundation for free.

I got one from Myer Sydney CBD a week ago - you have to ask for it. Unfortunately the plastic container leaked and half was gone by the time I got home, so do check that yours has been screwed on properly :/

When I last checked out this foundation years ago from this deal, they had very limited shades compared to the US, and I couldn't find a good match. The good news is they have now extended the range in Australia. The website colours are way off though - best to check out in-store.

Colour codes:

W - warm (yellow tones)
C - cool (pink tones)
N - neutral

Technically you can always get this kind of stuff free for asking without the need of it being advertised. All the brand counters have loads of samples. I once went in to Estee Lauder specifically to ask about one of their foundations and got my make up completely refreshed. They washed my face and applied foundation, blush and eyeliner. It was a nice touch that I wasn't expecting.

In that case I should always visit a counter before travelling :P Good travel size!

      • Travel size not really though that depends on the sample as some are only a few mls others even .05ml and depends on whether you're talking a weekend away or a 6 week European trip.
I once gathered up so many samples of advanced night repair (again, Estee Lauder) over many trips to DJ and Myer that I had a 3 month supply (you need to try a product for a continued length of time to test it on your skin. This was a product that had such cult status I thought I'd love it but I found after that time that there was no difference in my skin and tone). Some sales staff give you just one sample, others you may find give you 3 or 4 in one go (without you specifically asking for more). You just have to act genuine about wanting to try a specific product rather than do it because it's free

        • Yeah I get what you mean. In this case it's a 10-day sample and would be easier to take on a week's holiday than a whole 30ml bottle of liquid foundation.

        • @moocher: Yep, for sure. I empty a lot of my products into smaller pots when I go overseas.

  • Oh FYI, I hear Sephora are great with samples. Haven't been in myself as I don't go into the CBD much anymore or to Broadway
