if you're going to spend $30…may as well get a Lifx bulb ( i just bought one for $33)
Added functionality to control from mobile phone, remotely.They recently (yesterday) released a big update to the app - its a lot better.

Have mine connected up the an Echo Dot so I can tell it to change illumination.
This is 3W brightness, the LifX is about 17W. Very much night and day.

woolworths hurstville got something like this for $13
Reject Shop had a similar thing (looks exactly the same, but wasn't this brand) last year for $10. It was ok, the whites were very white and even on the brightest setting it wasn't bright enough. The major problem with it was whenever you turned the light on it automatically went to red and you had to manually change it to white (or any other colour) via the remote. That got very annoying very quick when you just walked into the room for a minute to grab something and didn't have time to find and fiddle with the remote. Like I said, the Reject Shop one was similar, not the same, so this one might not have the same problem.
How safe/unsafe are the cheap chinese ebay/Aliexpress ones?
$29?! Ouch!
