Hi all,
I am after a 3D Printer these days to do some of my project and I came up with an idea to buy it from Officeworks.
When I had a look at eBay, I found this store called PC-TEK and their price is way cheaper than OW.
I thought I could do a price match with OW - done it quickly over the phone order (in order to save a trip to OW CBD 3D Printer flagship store in Melbourne).
It seems OW staff is pretty happy to do the price match for this case and finally I got it down to $996.55. The Original OW link:
The reason I pick this model is the filiament is hackable using Arduino (EEPROM hack). Also I am not very confident with aftermarket 3D printers due to the maintenance and misleading marketing jargons.
I think the price would not change too much from $996.55 in 6 months but I used my 28 Degrees card to make the payments (price protection + insurance/warranty hopefully…).
PS: on the PC-TEK website, they mentioned:
In Store Now!!! Ready to Ship Immediately!!!
FREE SHIPPING
TAX CLASS: Taxable Goods
I would have a go if I am outside VIC - but again there is no guarantee if you live outside VIC.
Not a bad price for a plug and play dual extruder.
