Best place to get CAD to AUD exchanged? (Melbourne)

  I recently tried Fx4you by American Express.

  Place your order, pick up at local post office. Rates are alot better than any brick and mortars.

  In the process you'll be receiving a few emails - confirmation and when to pick up etc.

    thanks for this, my local bank westpac exchange for 500 cad was only 462$AUD, which included an 8$ fee.

    fx4you 518.94$, wow such a big difference.

      Did this work good man? No problems? I literally just purchase the exchange online and it's as easy as going into the post office to pick it up? I leave for Canada in two weeks. Is this enough time?

        i haven't booked it yet. There's a amex store nearby so iam planning to drop by at the end of the week to do the exchange.

        Yes it should be enough as long as you're located in a metro area.

        My experience was:
        21/2 10pm purchased and paid via BPay
        23/2 received payment confirmation email
        27/2 (mon) collected from local PO

        Local PO said they received it on 24/2 so it's really fast. 3-5 working days.

  while I don't know for CAD specifically, I found you get the best rates on the stores in Elizabeth St, close to Flinders St.
  Raffles and UAExchange tend to be good. Ask in store, they can give you better rates than advertised outside, especially if you have more than just a few dollars.

  If it isn't cash I would advise to use TransferWise
