I tried that too and wondered why it didn't work XD
I have never bought from Borders before, but for the books I want this is a very good deal, smashes any prices on Booko.com. Great post!!!
Book I was after costs $27.97 on Borders (with 30% off) or $23 from book depository so it still pays to look around.
Edit: Does anyone know how long Borders online takes?
Ships in 24 hours
Received in 10-15 working days
10-15 business days is longer than book depository!
Hate to break to yous, most books I want are still cheaper at Book Depository, i suggest you look around also to save
It depends on the book you order, some are faster than others. their delivery times have been accurate/according to web site last few times I ordered
Hey mgguinne, Borders is listed on Booko, albeit without the 30% discount.
Thanks! I found a book I considered buying from the US for way-over the price I just paid for it thru this deal.
"The Borders site is temporarily unavailable while we conduct maintenance.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused."
Hope they are uploading more books….
Was up but just crashed again… OzBargain strikes again?
Legend. Thanks OP.
You just saved me $1,197.83.
Desperately waiting for the release of this http://www.borders.com.au/book/porsche-book/9835810/
Interesting that it's in the fiction category.
Amazon UK £153.00 + shipping. Thanks for lolz tho
Are u sure you'll buy from borders?
From bookdepository.com you'll save even more.
http://www.bookdepository.com/book/9783832794378/The-Porsche…
I think this book qualifies as the largest price saving I've seen on Booko - http://www.booko.com.au/books/isbn/9783832794378
On my email i get from Border said " Border online - cheaper than Amazon.com guaranteed! find it cheaper and we'll refund the difference +10%" . I might try to contact them and see will hey honour their email.
b. to pre-order or pre-sale editions;
c. to multi- buys or any other bundled product offering;
d. where the Amazon.com price is in error.
e. to prices any other Amazon site other than Amazon.com
prb worth also checking http://www.abebooks.co.uk/
Their English Law section pricing is horrific, the fiction section might be better.
Been looking to buy the Feynman Lectures on Physics, but at A$271 (after discount) I don't think Borders.com.au can compete with Amazon.com A$141 (+A$20.68 delivery).
Even Borders.com sells it for US$195 (+US$13.48 delivery)
Ditto, the book I was looking for sells for $1200 @ borders $650 @ Amazon $580 @ Book Deposit.UK delivered. Good offer compared to their usual pricing but overall it sux. Compete with Amazon or the rest my butt.
Try betterworldbooks for textbooks - I've bought quite a few from there.
http://www.betterworldbooks.com/the-feynman-lectures-on-phys…
There's new copies for $42 with US$3.97 shipping, I'm not sure what editions you're after.
Also google 'better world books coupons' - almost everytime I've bought from there I've found a 10% or so discount from one place or another ;)
Thanks! It's cheaper by A$15 (before shipping)!
Wow so many posts knocking Borders, I do see that they can be quite expensive on some items.
Here is what I found. I used a site called booko.com.au which searches multiple book sites including borders.
These books are for my wife so please no judging me on my book choices.
The Biggest Loser 9781740668842
www.booko.com.au - $20.95 (Borders, Free delivery)
abebooks.com - $22.95
www.bookdepository.com - out of stock - no price displayed
Borders with this offer - $14.67
That is what I like to see, also a bit of research on borders offers posted on ozbargain, I looked back and the best I found was 25%, seems 30% is a bit more rare, any way I know like everyone else borders have some things that they mark up stupidly and others that are a bit more competitive, however for me this deal rocks, great job OP.
lol@ the biggest loser, I couldnt stand the show god help us there is a book! Probably the author wrote "This changes everything" from cover to cover. The OP has done a good job indeed any criticism is aimed at Borders not the OP. Surely there are a number of books that will be competitive but as far as the scientific, engineering and law books I have seen the markups are enormous. Who ever sources these books to them needs to be sacked.
PS: Thanks for the link I am down to $450 now via Amazon UK.
Wanted cherub MC Brigands from borders.com
Was 14 dollars after voucher
11 dollars at bookdepository.co.u
Considering this deal has gotten 50 positives and no negatives, I don't really think Borders has been criticised much so far. :) People are just saying there're just cheaper options. It's pretty good for a book seller in Aus (hopefully faster shipping), though..free shipping is nice.
I'll probably stick to Bookdep, cheapest for the books I buy. (That reminds me, better make another order before the end of the month to take advantage of the 10% off)..)
coupon still works today
I'm glad you listed the exclusions because after reading the title I was just about to attempt to get 30% off a kobo.
