  Never tried arak, how similar is it to sambuca /Molinari for example/? From the description I get the feeling it should be less sweet?

    True, Arak is less sweet and made from grapes and anise and distilled 3 times. It is much stronger in terms of ABV%, so Alcohol content is 42% for Silver and 50% for Gold label. It can still be mixed with coffee like Ouzo and sambuca
