Any Cheap Place in Melbourne for Dog Desexing

Hi Guys,

Sorry I m a new user on the group, so please excuse me if this is not the right place, forum to ask this question.

I have a 10 month old Rottweiler male and looking to get him De sexed. Anyone can recommend any good place that won’t hurt too much on pocket.

My vet have quoted me around $600. Thanks

Not asking where you got urs done

    • not sure if you have had done yet
      http://www.aaps.org.au/

we took our 5 year old to Animal Aid vet in Keysborough
      $170

They are a not for profit organisation and like to encourage desexing so is cheaper than the standard

  • Have you asked the RSPCA or Melbourne Uni's (or any other unis) vet school to see if they have a clinic and they might have students to do it for a lower cost?

    • +1 on asking the RSPCA. They are very keen for people to get their animals desexed. They have a place at Burwood.

  • Thanks Guys. Will check with them

  • Please don't go purely by price on this procedure. Sister took her 10 month old husky to a cheap vet. Instead of clamping her Fallopian tubes, they clamped her kidney tubes. Vets sent her home, dog was half dead in the morning. They needed to permanent remove one of her kidneys. Took no liability. What an unfair start to this dog's life.
