Love/hate with hot food - help me rid the hate

I love hot/spicy food. It's the best.

However sometimes if its super hot, it opens a small portal to hell when im trying to pass said food.

How do I prevent the effect of molten lava on my behind when I eat spicy food?

I misread that domain as Men Sheath, envisioning a sleeve inserted to bypass the anus.

      The idea might have promise…

Well, to win hot chilli eating contests, contestants chew stinging nettles beforehand to numb the senses. You could nettle downstairs.

    • wow just wow, but maybe……why not?

      • You only live once. Gotta give it a try. It could… open a door to a whole new world.

  • I've never had flaming poo before, even though I absolutely love spicy food and extra spicy beef vindaloo

Have you tried taking some more fiber? Metamucil (found in any pharma or health foods store) is great and will add more fiber to your poop. Fiber helps your poo to pass faster (so you spend less time on the dunny) and fiber also attracts water (which dilutes the undigestable capsaicin compounds in your poop, so it burns less).

Calmoseptine is also a good analgesic… feels cool to the touch… if you can't handle the burn, put some on.

    • Thanks. I'll give metamucil a try next time.

  • Eat it with Szechuan Pepper to numb the exit.

Install a bidet, it won't solve the problem but it'll relieve the burning pain and make it heal a lot faster.

  • You're eating a poison and your butt is letting you know.

    • delicious poison

  • How often do you eat spicy foods? If it's only on random occasions, you might wanna try incorporating it into your diet on a more regular basis, starting with reasonably small amounts of heat.

Then build it up but don't go overboard I guess, unless that's something you wish to do :P

Once your gut gets used to the chili, you shouldn't experience the ring of fire.

Curious - what kinds of dishes are you having before you suffer this ailment down south? Just make sure you're balancing out the chili with food. Don't do what I do when I'm having a mad kimchi craving, and scoff an entire container of the bright red stuff on an empty stomach.

  • All I can say is my body isnt like how it used to be. When I was younger and ate a spicy dish, I remember someone commenting "it'll go out the same way going in, burning" and I just ignored it because really, it only burnt going in, my taste buds.
Now that I'm older, I know EXACTLY what that means. Actually, Shin ramen doesn't even burn going in but I can certainly feel it in my stomach and going out. It never did before
I whinged to a GP about it and she said I have a chilli intolerance or allergy now. I'm refusing to believe her and just blame it on my ageing body not eating spicy food that often anymore
