    Does anyone know if we can get this if we are recontracting? I am due to recontract now and dont want to change my number so unsure if we can get this? Or do i have to change my number?
    I have spoken to optus and they said not all 25% offers will be honoured if we dont know the person who gave out the code. Can anyone confirm that we will definately get the 25% off if we use one of the links above?

    • I cant confirm that everyone will get it, but I just called as I had nothing after my temporary order number email yesterday, and I was told that it had definitely gone through and that I could expect my phone in 3 to 5 days…so it does work…

    This has gone up since last night, I tried to place an order for Iphone 7 plus 256g at $13 repayments and now it's $20??? ( on $100 plan)

    My order last night had the error and I couldn't get a link to work.

        • I think I already answered your question. If you speak to somebody who is in Australia he would have received an email about it. If they are overseas then they would have no idea.

  • i really want to sign up with the 25% offer but im worried that they wont honour all codes especially these ones posted online?
    i want to get the extra data offer that ends on the 5th so if i dont use the 25% offer i will obviously have to pay full price to get the extra data offer. however if i sign up for the 25% off and they dont honour it then i will miss out on the extra data offer too…not sure if i should risk it or not…

        • This offer is to increase mobile subscriber base. Even the offer has been presented as "Share the Love". If Optus wanted to stope it, it would have ended last night.

          If you do not want to join the band wagon, totally upto you. 25% off is too good to miss.

  • I ordered the $30 BYO sim but I've decided to get the S7 plan instead. Is it ok to place another order and cancel the first BYO sim when it arrives? I did enter my existing number to port so I'm not sure if it'll get ported automatically.

        I'd recommend taking up a new number, then once your order arrives, switch to your current number. That way you won't miss out on the offer.

        As you shifted away from Optus today, the system may take a day to refresh so it's probably identifying you as an existing Optus postpaid customer which would mean you wouldn't be eligible for the deal.

        • @irony: This Optus offer ends on the 31st of March so if you have plenty of time to take up the offer once you've given Telstra 7 days notice that you're going to port your number to Optus. 7 Days sounds ludicrous - it should be 48 hours to port a number max. You'll need to be out of your Telstra contract in order to take up a new contract with Optus with the same number.

          My advice if you're currently out of contract with Telstra - port your number to Optus and take up the offer before the discount codes run out. 25% off is too good to miss out on.

          standard practice is for the new provider (optus) to manage the porting process - you yourself don't generally let the old one know you're leaving them

        I've spoken to an internal team on the error you're experiencing - 'this number is not eligible for this offer'.

        You're seeing this error as you've only just ported your number away from Optus and it takes 24-48 hrs for the system to update to identify that you're no longer an Optus customer. I've also received confirmation that you're unable to port your number to Optus after taking up the offer so it's best to wait and do it up front.

        Best advice I can give you is wait until tomorrow morning to take up the offer with your mobile number, port the number back to Optus and get you 25% off discount. 25% off is too good to miss out on.

        You need to clarify that with Optus as I have been given mixed messages regarding activation. Some say the longest period you can delay it is 10 days but others say that as long as you haven't put in the sim, it wouldn't activate and some say that it will come automatically activated when it arrives on your doorstep. Very confusing and would like the hundreds of Optus employees here to clarify this question. Thanks!
