He always cries about something. I hardly step foot into HN and then it's usually just to look n not pay over the top prices.

Someone explain to me why Amazon doesnt just allow overseas shipping from their US, EU or any other branches?
That would seem way less complicated than setting up an AU branch complete with warehouses and logistics.
As it is, Australians often cannot order from amazon US because most of the products listed are flagged as "do not ship to australia". The same goes for third party sellers listed on amazon US.
They seem to ship books here, but they wont ship most things, even if they are smaller/lighter. Tried to get a wallet once, NOPE. Not allowed to ship. WTF?
there are a few reasons why they won't ship certain things overseas
sometimes it's third party suppliers who can't be bothered with the hassle of shipping internationally and just sell domestic or there might be a distribution deal that the product is only allowed to be sold in the u.s.
also there are customs laws to deal with if your wallet is leather then maybe it's not allowed to be imported as it's an animal product
if your heart is really set on something there are 'freight forwarding' companies like Shipito that will give you a usa address you give to amazon as the delivery address then they will send it on to you in australia for a fee or you can check eBay to see if the item is available there
Because a lot of the products are licenced to North America, to sell them in Australia would be a breach of the licensing agreement and the manufacturer would stop supply. Because they sell products at different prices in different countries often thru distributors or franchisees who all take a cut of the profit.
So when exactly is amazon opening? Anyone know. Cant come quick enough.
I shop amazon worldwide so be great to have one here.

Amazon is coming soon and they are bringing in a lot of connected services. I know for a fact that Amazon is currently testing the Australian market with Amazon branded credit cards, Alexa connectivity to shopping experience, etc.

I still can't believe Gerry selling a Kenwood 4 slice toaster for $170 and I got it from Amazon deal last week, for $25. We can see now how much it would cost him & then a mega profit. That is not just a plain blatant ripoff, he wants all your money in your wallet & bank, sleep with your wife & sniff all of your used undies/speedos/mankinis. What a greedy ol' freckle.

Here's an idea. Find something very cheap at Amazon. Then walk in to HN, ask for price match. If they said no, produce this video to the sales guy. If still refuses, ask for Gerry to come out to confirm if he is BS or not. :D
