I purchased some tickets to a concert in the US for September this year. I can no longer make this concert so need to sell these tickets. Not looking to make a profit - happy just recouping the costs I have incurred.
I know I can sell these tickets on eBay, however I have concerns around this. If the buyer pays through Paypal, what is stopping them from putting in a complaint after they have paid? I will have no proof I gave them the tickets without physically shipping the tickets with tracking. I cannot do this as the tickets are not available to print until 3 days before the concert. My plan if I sell on eBay is to use Ticketmasters transfer function, but I doubt a screenshot of this is valid proof if any buyer tells Paypal I never gave them the tickets - it would not be hard to dodgy up a fake screenshot.
My other option is to sell them through Ticketmasters own resale website. This is much more secure in my mind. To do this, I need to provide either a US bank account or debit card number to receive the payment once the tickets sell. Living in Australia I do not have either of these, and from the Googling I have done, I cannot easily apply for these without living in the US.
Has anyone else faced this same issue, or does anybody have any ideas as to how I can sell these tickets - ideally using Ticketmasters resale function? I am happy to sell the tickets for a bit of a profit to cover any costs I may incur if any company provides this service at a cost?
Thanks!
