If you're planning an Intel CPU purchase it would be wise to hold off for a little while as it appears Intel has just instituted some massive price drops on selected i7 and i5 processors.

That happened fast. Wouldn't want to be a retailer holding much stock of Intel CPU's.
It indicates that Ryzen processors might be even better than Intel
This was a single retailer, not intel directed as far as I am aware.
Note also hold off on ryzen purchases as well, maybe AMD respond to these price cuts.
