Any Prepay Telstra to Optus Migrators?

I have had a Samsung S6 on Telstra wich was great value till they changed last November.
Now I have seen the Optus app on the play store making headlines.
In my house I am getting 40 MBts download near some new towers up to 100. No complaints with data, flies past my slow ftth 20 down 5 up also Telstra home NBN.

Voice is a different matter. 1 in 3 incoming calls I have to ring back to get a clear line. Seems their cell management is compromised on prepay?

Outgoing calls seen much better but one in 5 calls is compromised, I have to go outside to stop distortion. Some calls are very perfect.

Optus comes as direct or even Coles has a $20 deal for 28 days.

Just wondering how it compares or if the second carrier has issues. Thanks.

  • What changed with Telstra last November?

    • the $30 recharge is no longer available to accumulate and to be sent over me2u to another prepaid. All you get now is lousy $5 for overseas calls and even they drop dead after 28 days. Data still flips over it you catch it, now it is 8 day warning.

      • that's only if you switched over to the Prepaid Plus plan though right? anyone on the older plans got that grandfathered and as far as I know, is ongoing. I'm still on my Freedom Plus plan and everything still works as it did.

  • try a different mobile ive never had any problems with call quality
