I need a 12 Volt car charger for a my lap top.
Are the deals from Aliexpress which are under $15 any good?
Is there a local shop with bargains on these things?

Well, I haven't bought that specific thing. But I have bought 2x external power supplies used to power a SATA/IDE 3.5" HDD sitting on my desk. It's been running 24/7 nearly every day for months now.
What I typically do with that kind of thing, is look somewhere like Jaycar… and then look at Aliexpress to see if the photos look like the same item. If it looks like the same thing, and it's as cheap as that URL is - I'd probably just buy two. Because at that price, if one fails I have a spare while I have time to look for a better replacement - and would cost less than petrol used running around trying to find a replacement in a hurry.
Just make sure the current specs are high enough. (More current than needed is fine. Less is not.)
Lol, you need an inverter like this. I don't think you'll find an inverter powerful enough for $15.
150Watts probably won't even cut it, was just an example.
