Also, what's the normal price?
A buck.
They popped up at the local coles one day for a buck and with plenty of while stock lasts/clearances stickers everywhere. Never seen them before.
Oh great. Now everyone's going to know. Ching's going to be pissed!
can confirm at southport qld.
"indo-chinese" cuisine:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Chinese_cuisine
yeah i thought it was indonesian, but they are made in india.
they are a bit bland and quickly go soggy but overall not too bad if you cook it with other veggies
I wouldnt advise stocking boxes of these
Never heard of these before. Are they like migoreng?
Ok, so what's the instant noodle brand/flavour of choice? I really hate the bland aussie brand ones (chicken, beef etc).
Some of the MiGoreng ones that have lots of sachets are ok.
Their used to be a Trident (pretty sure that was the brand) Udon noodle with japanese-ish flavours, maybe seaweed, that was nice, but I think they discontinued it. They only have the plain one now.
I don't like the super hot ones (though you can usually reduce the chilli powder), but like more genuine (as genuine as instant noodles can be) asian flavours than aussie ones.
I suppose to be considered worth using they have to be edible by themselves (just using the flavourings in the pack) even before you might add additional ingredients.
Ching's secret ingredient: MSG
MSG is a safe food additive for human being.
You obviously don't watch MKR…
health fact of MSG would not take long time to find out.
@jv: does MKR provide any scientific evidence of negative impact of MSG on human being health?
Why don't you ask them… I didn't watch tonights episode. I'm recovering from an allergic reaction to MSG.
@jv:
why do you ask me?
any scientific evidence of MSG allergy?
@jv:
Scientific fact of MSG would not take long to obtaining it.
what is ratio? I mean what percentage of population MSG allergy?
That would depend on how many others, apart from me, have this allergy.
@jv:
any scientific report or statistical data?
@jv:
http://www.foodstandards.gov.au/consumer/additives/msg/Pages…
There is no convincing evidence that MSG is responsible for causing more serious adverse reactions, such as the allergic reactions
@jv:
LOL
Shhhhh…
WTF is "Schezwan"…Szechuan?
Sichuan could be more correct.
???
@jv:
If Schezwan would present 四川(one of province of China, hot/spice food https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sichuan), Sichuan would be more correct.
@jv:
According to supplier website, I am confidently saying that sichuan/Sichuan would be more correct.
Everything is an allergen to someone. Some people are allergic to water, does it mean you need stop drinking water because water is an allegen to someone else.
Msg is produced via the fermentation of natural ingredients, the same way cheese is. It's as natural as organic eggs. No herbicide is used, no antibiotics are used, no pesticides and no growth hormone are used on the seaweed used to make the msg.
If you have no issues with tomato sauce which contains a form of msg naturally; then you should have no problems with msg flavouring.
I don't like too much MSG because it makes me thirsty.
It's one of the reasons I don't eat as much perreroni pizza as I would like.
However I love the flavour hit that an overdose of MSG gives to me.
human being could overtake water rather than allergy of water.
salt and water are only two food interdependent remaining no allergic reaction for human being.
Wikipedia quote:
Monosodium glutamate is the sodium salt of glutamic acid, one of the most abundant naturally occurring non-essential amino acids. Monosodium glutamate is found naturally in tomatoes, cheese and other foods.
My understanding is that it's not generally a product that triggers allergic reactions, however of course different people have different levels of tolerance. It seems far more likely that people have allergy to other foods that are typically enhanced with MSG than the substance itself.

Some people will have adverse reaction any sort of skin contact to any sort of water whether it is chrloinated Tao water or distilled water, even their own tears can cause them to break out in hives, swelling etc.
thanks
Until 14/03. It's on the yellow docket.
