    Tried buying 1 notebook from OW for 2c once in cash. They refused the transaction.

      That's bizarre. Especially considering they permit a change-of-mind refund.

      To teach them a lesson, I would buy 3 notebooks for 6 cents, paying them 5 cents in cash.

      Then immediately I would ask for a refund for 2 of the notebooks, worth 4 cents, making it a 5 cent refund.

      Then I would walk away with my 0 cent notebook and ponder of what we hath become.

        I would've purchased 6 notebooks for 12 c rounded down to 10 c.

        Then refunded 2 for 4 c rounded up to 5c.

        Repeat twice more and you have 15 c total. That's a profit of 5 c!

        Rinse and repeat for unlimited free money.

        Apparently without change of money, a transaction has not occurred. As such they haven't sold anything, are not liable for any warranties/guarantees, and this was a reason given to us once from Kmart why we couldn't buy something for 2c. Still don't agree but 5c is not much anyways.

      Funny story - I was fired from my job for doing this. Yes it was stupidly foolish but they claimed it was theft. Said I could quit of my own volition or they would go further in the theft direction.

      Thats technically not possible, because all notebooks would either be rounded to 99c or a full dollar. That means if you payment included 2c, you would need another 2c and others to make 99c or a $1.

      Im sorry this just doesnt add up.. 2 x 2c coins fine, but not one.

    got one today at Cairns Smithfield, still heaps in stock, priced at 5c but self checkout scanned 2c so fed the machine with a very old $5 note and it spat out a brand new $5 note back and a receipt for full warranty!
    Got a much better case than the other 2 I already got.
