Rouse Hill NSW Reading Cinemas $10 New Price

180

Rouse Hill has seen what Rhodes have done, and made the switch to $10 movie tickets! Walk in for no booking fee, otherwise $1.50 booking fee online. A nice fairly new movie theatre, decent size screens as it's a modern building. Underground parking to keep your vehicle cool and dry.

Smuggle in your drinks and snacks from Aldi around the corner, or Coles it you see a special there that suits.

Seen at https://m.facebook.com/ReadingCinemasRouseHill/photos/a.2096… Gold Class is $28, which is not a deal.

I hate booking fees with a passion.

"Hi, I'd like to give you money in advance for something"
"Sure, that will be a buck fifty"

… Have all Readings not been 10 bucks for a while now, or has mine just been champs?

    • Yeah, West Lakes (SA) has been $10 for a while too.

Booking fees are ridiculous… it's just that now if there's a new release you want to see, as most cinemas have started using set seats, you kinda need to book ahead.

Also, I've seen some crazy shit pulled with seat bookings lately. E.g. someone gets in later, finds someone else sitting in their seats - they ask the people to move, to which they reply "but someone else is sitting in our seats". I'd say too bad, tell those people to sit in their own seats. And if you sit in seats not your own, get ready to move.

And not just give them money in advance -

      • Ease their planning
      • Have a computer replace a paid person
      • Gather personal information

I'd expect a discount for booking, not a charge.

      • Surely their investment in the 90's has been paid off by now.

    • Rouse Hill has been $19 a seat, or thereabouts for ages.

Melbourne has been $10 for the last 12 months now.
    $20 for gold class

    • $20 I could stretch too, $28, not so much

Sometimes it's better to book as $10 is very cheap and people are going to these cinemas now. We were at the Auburn reading cinemas and people were being told the movie was sold out and walking away disappointed.
I agree booking fees are stupid

  • I thought all reading Cinemas were now $10 for a ticket any day/session?

They have been in SA for awhile now at both Elizabeth & West Lakes. If they weren't I wouldn't go to the movies at all.

    • Seems to be selective. I paid $14 on tight arse Tuesday a couple of months ago at Rouse Hill.

Looking forward to some decent movies coming out to utilise this new price.
