Would still buy local on Ryzen but will give this an up vote for people who like Amazon
There seems to be a lot brewing in the CPU space at the moment!
I was about to pull the trigger on a new LGA1151 i5-7600 and motherboard when a bit of googling came across the following:
X299 https://www.pcgamesn.com/intel/skylake-x-kaby-lake-x
and: http://wccftech.com/intel-skylake-x-kaby-lake-x-q2-2017-road…
So there LGA-2066 and LGA-3647 sockets coming from Intel.
Obviously it depends on what you need to run, but I think I will wait a week for some independent tests.
It would be good to hear what others think!
2066 and 3647 are newer replacements for socket 2011. There's extremely little benefit to investing in these for home use, especially if you're only looking at getting an i5 7600 atm.
Can this CPU do something special without needing user input like bitcoin mining or something similar?
Yeah, but in that case do we post everything that is slightly cheaper than local RRP over seas? This would be thousands of popular products.
Either way the people will decide, just expressing my opinion, doesn't cause me any pain.
