Hi - I need to purchase a couple of single mattresss for my kids. As you probably know, it is impossible to price match mattresses because the manufacturers give the same mattress different names.
So, I don't want to spend much more than $360/mattress - they are for kids, so firmish will be fine, but I want them to last. Any advice?
Thanks for reading!
I Need to Buy Two Single Mattresses - Any Recommendations?

wow - can't think why the negs…..anyone explain?
Try crown posture bedding. They sell at several big stores. Had 2 that have lasted really well for about 8 years, and just bought another. Crap Sealy I bought for similar price lasted about 3 years before deforming badly. I bought forty winks with quite a drop with haggling.
Thanks to you both - I didn't think about their light weight and what that means. And I'll avoid Sealy too.
Aldi mattresses are really good (if you can find them) Bought one for one of the kids (about $150 from memory), and the other one liked it so much I got him one too and one for the spare room. Still going strong after a couple of years
also, unless you want to buy Ikea bed frames, their mattresses are odd shaped and can be quite hard to find a suitable frame
Thanks - I'll keep an eye on Aldi. And yeah - these mattresses must fit a std bunk, so that probably rules out IKEA. Thanks to you both.
I bought Ecosa mattresses about a year ago, they are still awesome, no dints or sags (and my son is the proverbial brick sh*thouse). The first mattress was damaged during the packing process, they swapped it within 48hrs. I chose Ecosa over Koala, Greywing, Purple, etc, because of thier foam density and the cooling gel layer - I have zero regrets.
Don't buy a king size and cut it in half.
Good advice :)
Costco has sealy premier single mattress for about $160 each from memory. Sign up buy the mattress then go back few days later cancel your membership and get your $60 back if you are not interested in keeping membership
Hard rubbish collection is an awesome source of free mattresses.
Can't bring myself to do it.
Fill base with mdf put doona over mdf that's your mattress make bed, nice and firm prepares them for sleeping on floors when they leave home
some advice - don't get firm
kids weigh very little, they need comfy beds, give them a pillow top thing, if they weigh enough, they will push through the top onto the springs
