Are the plastic L and P plates from RTA NSW free? I recall they started charging for them a while ago, couldn't find the answer on the internet so if anyone knows that would be great. Thanks in advance

I see a pile at the local Service Centres that looks like you could help yourself. BTW it's been called RMS for a while now.
There are free piles of them at the Service NSW Kiosks around Sydney - I see people taking them all the time.
Get free ones from other people's cars. Just visit your local high school or university.
