DJI Phantom 3 Standard AU$548.10, DJI Phantom 4 + 2 Extra Batteries AU$1,439.10 Shipped (HK) @ DWI on eBay

C10AU

So I missed out on the recent Zapals deal for a Phantom 3 Standard drone and came across this.

DWI list the Phantom 3 Standard, at AU$609 Shipped, and the Phantom 4 with 2 extra batteries for AU$1,599

If you buy through their ebay store, using C10AU at checkout, you can score an additional 10% off.

I tried messaging DWI to see if they could still honour the 40% off battery deal with drone purchase from their website, by listing a Phantom 3 Standard + Battery to no avail…

Edit: A few people have raised concerns regarding the disclaimer about possible import duties for international buyers. These duties are applicable to ALL online retailers, though sometimes you need to search pretty hard for the fine print. So the reality is you take that same risk even with other online stores, including the previous DJI Phantom deal with Zapals.

My assumption would be that this deal would bee 100% safe, as their eBay store is actually Australian, comes up as an Australian seller, and is clearly labelled as DWI - Digital Cameras Australia, so as far as im concerned, im buying from a local online retailer and dont need to be concerned about where the item comes from. I also wouldnt be warried about the international buyers notice, as in this instance, we are not the international buyer, or the importer. We are buying from an Australian store, who is in all respects, the importer.

Update: Just a quick update guys, so I had placed my order on Monday 20th Feb, and just received it about half an hour ago (23rd Feb 12:30PM); thats less than 72 Hours. No hassles!

    only mavic.

  • Cancelling my Zapals order, and once processed will buy from here.

  • C10AU only applies to Australian sellers

    • DWI's Australian presence means that it's treated as an AU retailer for all intents and purposes. I successfully completed an order for a Phantom 3 standard, plus added an additional battery, and confirmed code works on phantom 4 deal also

  • Careful on their Ebay page it states import customs duty is your problem

    • I believe it's done to cover themselves. The same notice can be found on every online retailers website. I have yet to meat anyone who has been asked to pay additional duties for a personal delivery. You would expect bulk purchases to attract surcharges for a business but not a one off transaction.

      • yes cover themselves at your expense if it occurs
I have read about someone at whirlpool being charged although it was probably another seller

        • yeah i know what you mean, but the reality is you take that same risk with any overseas online retailer. They're just kind enough to give you a heads-up about it…

  • Is that including the gst duties that will need to be paid?

    • as per my response to thelastnoob, the reality is you take that same risk with any overseas online retailer. the same import/customs duties apply to any online retailer, even with the previous Zapals deal. Thing is it is very rarely enforceed. I've bought from DWI in the past without issue, but i suppose you never know. I would say you have a much better chance of getting away with DWI considering they have a Sydney based outlet, and are listed on eBay as an Australian seller.

Open Question to you Z2k and any knowledgable Phantomites out there……….

Should I load and use the DJI app or the Android Litchi one? (this is my fifth QC, though my first DJI)

        • @zonbie:
if you are comfortable flying and have already paid for litchi, use that, tons more features. :D

        • ok Ta. Was not sure if it was solid or flakey

  • op, is this actually a better price than the zapal deal, right?

also want to know what the regulations we have in australia regarding flying a drone?

    • +1

sorry bud, a little late, but if you have GPS on and are using the DJI app, it warns you if you are about to fly into restricted airspace. other than that, standard privacy clauses apply. (dont fly over neighbours backyards/other private property.
