  • Price seems really good for the first 2 at least

    • Can those annoying chips on the MX860 ink tanks be reset, like the CLI-8 ones can?

      • very intersting question! cuz often the cartridge is the most expensive bit

        • +1

A set of carts retail would run almost the same price as this whole printer on sale!

Seems there is a re-setter available for these CLI-521 carts now. But it is a different re-setter to the slightly older CLI-8. They have also changed the catrs to a black plastic rather than clear, to make it even harder/messier to refill. Other than that the carts are identical spec, and the only reason they changed them was because the older cart had been hacked to be re-settable (took 2 years!). Nice one Canon.
