OW reduced the everyday price from $160 to $139, Not as good as the seagate deal if you can still find stock, but cheaper then any other 3tb around that I can see in aus..

  How do Toshiba hard drives compare to Western Digital? I always wait for WD sales after I decided to never buy Seagate hard drives (had some die on me while still new, and also read a lot of not-so-good reviews about them on the net).

    I bought a canvio 1Tb model for the kids media player in the car. By default it is turned on every time the car is going. 3 years and hasn't shown signs of dying

  I've had a lot of drives over the years. For externals I've had 1 or 2 WDs and a stack of Seagate die. I avoid Seagate like the plague if there is a similar option in another brand. (That said I just bought 2 wireless Seagate 500GB on clearance). I have only a few of other brands - mostly Toshiba. HGST. None have died but not enough experience to say they're reliable.

  Good deal paid $119 on their ebay store too. The Kids Movies HDD just started throwing SMART drive errors and clicking - time to make it more portable for those road trips.
