  • 1 year discount or ongoing? discount available for all the plans?

All the answers you need are in the title and description. They only have 4 web hosting plans (not including virtual servers).

90% Off New cPanel Web Hosting Plans @ Zuver (from $0.30/month for up to 1 Year)

      • you edited your post to include how much $ per month for each plan which makes sense now.

        • -3

Nope, original revision had the same information. I only revised to update formatting and fix "Multi Hosting with Power Pack" RRP.

        • +3

@ronnknee: yes, original post had RRP for each plan but not the discounted amount which you specified in revision as $/month for each plan but anyway its clear now.

        • @ronnknee: You realize we can look at the revisions and know you are lying?

          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/293089/revisions#578754vs5…

        • @kamoi:

Please point out which part I am allegedly lying about? When you do, also note down the timestamps of the events.

        • @ronnknee:

Nope, original revision had the same information. I only revised to update formatting and fix "Multi Hosting with Power Pack" RRP.

          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/293089/revisions#578754vs5…

Then why does it show that you made the other changes?

        • @kamoi:

          Don't they convey the same information? 90% off $3/month plan = $0.30/month.

        • @ronnknee:

Does "from $3.60 for 1 Year" and "from $0.30/Month for up to 1 Year" convey the same information?

        • @kamoi:

For the purpose of 1 year's worth of discount which ozdesi had asked, yes.

        • @ronnknee:

The up to 1 year part was not originally in the title when ozdesi opened up the deal. That's the reason they asked for clarification.

          • During the time ozdesi typed their question and posted their comment, you updated the deal some 20 seconds earlier.

          • You reply with all answers are in title/description.

          • ozdesi says it NOW makes sense with the edits you made.

          • You reply with "original revision had the same information".

The original revision did NOT have the same information. The edit to include up to 1 year is what answers the question "1 year discount or ongoing?"

        • @kamoi:

1 year was included in the title. How does 1 year suggest ongoing discount?

        • @ronnknee: up to was NOT included. up to 1 year in the edit answers the question that the discount is NOT ongoing. It's only up to 1 year.

          1 year discount or ongoing?

I really can't explain it any simpler. If you don't get it then you just don't get it.

        • @kamoi:

1 year alone already does not suggest ongoing discount.

The up to part was only really to indicate that you can purchase the plan monthly and do not have to purchase the entire year.

It's you who don't get it. I had already pos'd ozdesi's last comment as acknowledgement of mutual understanding; then you came along and falsely accuse me of lying, which caused others to neg me when they may not have even bothered to check the revisions thoroughly.

You cannot explain it any simpler because there is nothing else to explain. Please get your facts right before you accuse anyone of lying next time; otherwise it's just rude.

        • @ronnknee:

1 year alone already does not suggest ongoing discount.

It doesn't suggest it either way, hence why clarification was requested. up to 1 year makes it clear. This is why it "makes sense now" to ozdesi after your edit.

then you came along and falsely accuse me of lying, which caused others to neg me when they may not have even bothered to check the revisions thoroughly.

Liar. You're comment had 3 negative votes already when I first posted here. It now has 3 negative comments. The number of negative votes has not changed so how exactly am I responsible?

        • @kamoi:

Because they read the comment, vote and move on. It's not like they're going to revisit this deal, re-assess and revoke their votes.

        • @ronnknee: So why exactly am I responsible for that?

        • @kamoi:

Did you miss that part where you falsely accused me?

        • @ronnknee: You are the one falsely accusing me. Read very carefully.

then you came along and falsely accuse me of lying, which caused others to neg me when they may not have even bothered to check the revisions thoroughly.

The negative votes were already there before I ever made an appearance here. Why am I responsible for those votes when they were made before I posted my comment?

Why do you accuse me of being responsible for those votes?

p.s. I didn't falsely accuse you. I showed proof in the form of revision history.

  • Web Hosting — $0.30/month (RRP $3/month), means $3.6/year, for the 1st year ??/ What will happen after that??

    • +1

after that you go back to full price, its kind of a promotion they want you to try out their service and if you like it then stay forever

      • +1

Can confirm this works for lazy people.. I set up a website using a DigitalOcean VPS with their student pack bonus thingo from github..

2 years of paying US$5/month later shows how lazy I am to switch :|

    • Back to original price ie. $36/year onwards. I've been server hopping for the past few years (GoDaddy and VentraIP). I think I might even keep it after 1 year. $36 is a very fair price and it will save me the hassle of transferring settings/files (which I'm currently doing) which takes a few days.

      • same for me ….. hopping between ventra and go daddy …. would love it if they just realised that I'm a small home user with a few mail boxes and kept price low based on volume …………. heck they know how little I use …..give me a deal at renew time as due to my small volume I will jump again.

  • Can apply for existing customers?

    • Not on existing plans, only new plans.

  • wow so cheap, PBN any good? 😉

  • +1

    Ventra IP are great
Been with them for 8 years, had many different services, all have been reliable and work well

    • I'm currently with ventra / zuver ……hope when its' renew time that at the little volume I use and do targeted deal to stop me wasting an hour switching ….what is an hour worth to a home user …..a slab of beer ….."swap and get free slab of beer instead of paying full rate at renewal" seems a good deal.

They could better target offers at renewal times or the marketers don't look at their stats …….heck even Woolies send me emails about weekly specials as they track what I but and how much I'm willing to pay and don't bother to offer me "heinze backed beans at $1.90 per can when full price when I only but them at 50% off"

  • Damn. I just purchased a WHM hosting with Zuver this afternoon using the 50% of first invoice coupon. :S

Is there a way to get a refund and buy it again?
