How Long to Wait for GearBest Items?

I know that buying direct from China is a bit hit-and-miss as regards waiting time, but my first GearBest buy (MiBand 2) arrived within a few weeks, and so a month ago I ordered and paid for my second GearBest buy (some Xiaomi BT wireless earphones).

But now a month has elapsed, and when I check the order online it is simply listed as "processing", so basically not even in the mail.

When do I start sending emails?

    Well now is a good time to email them! I would certainly be asking when the item is due into stock…….did it say at the time of ordering? I order all the time from them and to date all has been well. At anytime you can cancel and request a refund if item has not been shipped (not saying that's what you want). Best to check ASAP as a month is a long time.

  • You ordered at a bad time. Its been Chinese new year and Gearbest has been closed for 2 weeks about a month ago i think they went on holidays on the 21st of January and came back the 3rd of February some where around those times Gerabest and Banggood and Fasttech where all closed.

    it's like asking how long is a piece of string.

    pretty hit and miss really, luck of the draw if you get it.

    i've had some things turn up and some not.

    honestly i've given up on them don't mind paying a few extra bucks to get products from somewhere else knowing that it will actually get delivered

    Its alys a good idea to open paypal resolution case…

    • Doubt there is any need as item has not yet processed hence one could cancel the order and get a refund direct from Gearbest (should one want to do so). No need to involve Paypal.

    I emailed, got a reply within 24 hours saying it was back-ordered and they expect stock in 3-7 days.

    They offered me three options: (a) continue waiting, or (b) swap for another product (receiving or paying any cost difference) or (c) full refund.

    Based on how easy it was to contact them, the readiness with which they offered a refund and the fact that my order spanned Chinese New Year, I'll keep waiting for another few weeks.

    • Thanks Sunny, but I think it has been sorted out.

      I changed colour from white to black, which was in stock, and just paid the $3 difference.

      I will get back to you if anything goes wrong with this new arrangement.

    • Yep, finally received last week - Sunny (store rep above) confirmed for me that it was in Australia via PM and a few days later it actually turned up.

      Very slow, but nice to have a reliable rep if necessary.
