There are still a fair few games that support local multiplayer. My son and his friends do it pretty often. eg. rocket league
I keep the 2nd one synced to my gaming PC which gets far more use than the PS4.
That said, Nioh has me hooked right now. Hope there's more good PS4 exclusives soon.
Which PC games do you prefer the PS4 controller with?
One of the reasons I prefer PC gaming is that the mouse/keyboard combination is more precise than a console controller.
Though that's probably less relevant for games that are designed specifically for controllers.
Souls games have horrible mouse and keyboard controls so I use it for those. GTA V, controller for driving and flying, mouse and keyboard for everything else. A few other various console ports as well.
@DudeMcAwesome: Yes, bloodborne will be terrible on PC Keyboard and Dota2 will be terrible on PS4 controller.

I beg to differ. Call of Duty, FIFA, Borderlands, Madden. All of these hugely popular games feature local multiplayer, and they're an absolute blast to play if you or your kids/older kids have cousins or friends over. Perhaps the smaller titles might be veering the focus away from the local side, but that shouldn't take away from the games that do support it.
The battery life is ridiculously short on the DS4 so keeping one always charged and ready to go is incredibly handy. Also, the build quality is incredibly suspect on the current gen of Sony controllers so dividing your play time across two controllers keeps them in great shape.
Unless you Nintendo, they keep it alive, but some games on ps4 xbox do have it.

Confirmed, purchased with the deal in a regional QLD Town. If you can get one in a remote area, I don't see why not in a major city Big W. You may need to find the advertised sticker, which in my case was semi-hidden and/or ask a competent Big W team member.

I gave them a ring before heading over to make sure its works, and to check if they have stock. Got the lady on the phone to scan a console, and an extra controller and it does work. She was surprised cos the deal wasn't advertise anywhere on their catalogs etc. Before seeing davemac7's post, I've actually called up 4 stores and all of them said there's no such deal. So make sure you ask them to scan it for you.

Perfect. I've been watching videos of it on YouTube as well. Looks like someone is getting a PS4. Actually, I'm eyeing off the Pro version. Might be good for some VR stuff in the future… as long as Sony don't drop the ball. Remember their motion controls? Never took off. I never bought into it.
funny you need to move controllers to use VR so you should have bought into it when everyone else thought it never took off.
@flaminglemon: you can use either the dual shock or the move controllers for most VR titles, although the move controllers are more fun! I have the pro version and it complements the VR quite well. When I take my VR to friends and use there normal PS4 you can immediately tell the difference.
