Does anyone know if I can use to grill chicken or lamb? I can only find it to cook bacon on google
The answer is yes, according to Sunbeam Customer Service staff.
"
Can you grill steak and chicken on this?

This product has 2000W of power and the temperature of the plates is high enough to sear and cook meat such as chicken or steak. Please note that the contact plates are flat and not ribbed.

thanks mate, this will be good for me then.
According to the linked Big W page this model (GR8210) is 1800W
I saw it in bigw last week, I thought it had grill on both top and bottom, I didn't buy it because of that.. more difficult to clean.
I also "fry" eggs on this type of grill. Set the lid to close just over the egg without touching.
Perfect for tradies
I use this grill to heat up my croissants
you'd be pressed to find it cheaper
Hard pressed?
Warnie's never gets cold.
Can someone comment if this will be a better option than Russell Hobbs
Yours is double the price! I doubt it will the same magnitude better.
Isn't it double the size as a full size press? I have the RH for about $50 from memory. Makes a difference if you need the extra size.
(that's what she said)
It might be possible to do a price beat at The Good Guys… Not sure though. Can anyone try..?
I would strongly recommend the one in Kmart.
I have used both and even if the Kmart one is no brand it has a lot of power, they are both 2000W but the performance is definitely different.
The Kmart one was much much quicker and hotter compared to Sunbeam. Also it is much more stable you can comfortably press on the handle and the machine does not moves while the Sunbeam one stands up from the back.
Have had one of these in the office for two years(after a year of home use); used 3-4 times a week and still going strong
We bought one of these at Big W whilst on holiday in Port Douglas as our accommodation didn't have any cooking facilities with the plan of disposing at the end of the holiday. We found some space in our suitcase and took it home. That was 2 years ago, and it has been used weekly since. Great value, hasn't missed a beat and the non-stick surface is still flawless.
