Help me find an air con for my room

With Sydney's weather being so hot lately, I am looking for an air conditioning for my house. I am thinking of a reverse cycle AC (instead of a split system) as I think there is no need for a separate compressor outside. Correct me if I am wrong about this. The room size is about 4 x 4 sqm.

Harvey Norman currently has 20% deal on ebay but is it possible to get them to install as well? Or do you guys recommend someone in Sydney to install one?

Can anyone recommend a good Ac brand for me

    reverse cycle and split system arent mutually exclusive
    ie you can get reverse cycle split systems

    reverse cycle = heats and cools
    split system = separation of the system, condensing unit on the outside. Heating/cooling on the inside

    if you dont go for split…there only other choice would be a wall mounted one
    splits are infinitely easier to install unless you have a wall with a gap which fits perfectly your wall mounted ready to go

    As above, go for a split. Much easier to mount on the wall, and the noise will not be as great as the condenser is either on your roof or on an outside wall.

    You will easily get away with a 2.5KW or 3.2KW split system, it will be more than enough for a small room.

    Fujitsu, Mitsubishi Electric have good reputations. I have a Fujitsu 3.2KW myself and am very happy with it.

    I bought a Samsung with Wifi. It lets you turn on the aircon remotely so its nice and cool by the time you get home.
