Travel insurance with a Laptop

Hey all!

I am shortly heading to Canada and the US of A. I am thinking about taking my laptop with me as I might need to do some video editing while I am there. I currently own a five year old Alienware. From what I can see most of the companies cover for depresciation of laptop, which I assume for my laptop wouldn't hold too much value now. Does anyone recommend any insurance companies who might cover for what I paid or near too?

Just don't want to be stuck without a laptop in case of damage and they only cover for a few hundred dollars.

    do you have home and contents insurance? You could possibly add it to your policy as a named item, but you would have to see the t&d of what it might cover

    5 year old? not worth to insure, make sure to do a backup before you go :)
    Unless you can get a old with new replacement policy.

        Be very lucky to find any insurance company that would do this with a 5 year old laptop.. unless you took it out when you first purchased it
