Working again

UPDATE: The voucher code should be working but isn't. I contacted the company and they said they are now trying to fix it.

Enter code under Webstore Coupon!!!

Free shipping over $50.

If you spend over $49 on petfood by TONIGHT MIDNIGHT (14.02.17), you will also get free dog treats or free cat toy depending on which pet food you purchased.

This is the message I received:
"Because we love our supporters we are providing a 20% OFF VOUCHER to use with My Pet Warehouse online. The voucher can only be used on Ivory Coat products with a minimum spend of $30, your voucher expires on the 15th May 2017."

Tried it and it's worked. It's a great quality Australian pet food and I've never seen it for cheaper.

Four velocity points and potentially 4.8% cashback, thanks @tristanium

Seems incredibly expensive to me. $31.92 with discount. I buy friskies from woolworths for around $10 for 2.5kg. May not be apples with apples though

indeed it is not apples with apples.. mainly because it is classed a premium food
      - Australian made
      - No grain (more and more a significant selling point)
      - All natural
      - some dogs/cats find it more appetising
I buy my pet premium, but I certainly don't judge anyone who doesn't.

      • Seems fair enough, But its seem quite a substantial price hike for premium. Thanks for the info though

        • +2

Most premium foods will cost quite a bit more hence me jumping at this offer :D

      • +2

I cannot support this enough. Even "supermarket premium" foods (E.g. Supercoat etc) are not even in the same basket. Quibbling over the difference between 30c a feed and $1 a feed can be a false economy when a single vet visit could eradicate any savings.

Plenty of people will have no problems with their basic supermarket foods. But I don't know if I am willing to risk it. Buying quality dog food makes sense. Save your money elsewhere (e.g. I have two medium dogs and buy one large dog flea/tick treatment - generally only fractionally more expensive, but usually just a larger dose of same volume).

        • Amen to that. It's sort of like saying "why would I buy a nice piece of steak from the butcher when I can get a Mcdonalds burger for for $2?"

      • Grain free is really just clever marketing
All they do is replace rice with potatoes and peas
This will be better than the waste product brands that you see at the supermarket but still contains lots of useless fillers.

you should try a different food for a while. our cat had a rough coat when we first adopted her - a few weeks on the good stuff and she had a totally different coat (soft), amazing what a difference it made.

    • You're comparing the resemblance of an apple, because it's picture is on a box, with an actual apple. Friskies is Purina's lowest level cat product, you can see their hierarchy here - http://www.purina.com.au/brands. It is just above feeding them sawdust, just. Supercoat is one level above, read this review of Supercoat, and realise you are feeding them worse than this - http://www.petfoodreviews.com.au/dry-cat-food/purina-superco…

If you're going to buy from Wollies for convenience and price, then Applaws and VIP (in that order) are the only two worth considering. You can see the good cat foods here - http://www.petfoodreviews.com.au/dry-cat-food/best-dry-cat-f…

      • I'd just like to add that while Applaws is really good food, it does not contain Taurine so it is considered a supplement. Please don't solely feed your cat this. It is worth mentioning that wet food is generally better than dry as it may prevent chronic kidney disease in cats. Wet food contains 70-80% moisture while dry food only contains maximum 10%.

edit: I am referring to Applaws wet food.

  • coupon didnt work for me, targeted perhaps?

    • Not targeted I don't believe. There's two spots where you can enter a code, you need to enter it under WebStore coupon. Sorry, I'll update description now.

      • +1

yeah I put it in there, and tried all CAPS too - I get "This coupon is no longer valid"
I have $80 worth and it is Ivory coat so should meet terms.

        • Ugh, sorry @tristanium I'll look into this. I saw that others received the same code and it worked for me so I assumed it would continue to work for everyone.

I have messaged the company, will label the forum post as "TARGETED" until things change.

        • Seems to be fixed now!

Thanks Kzu - coupon working fine for me, have placed my order!
