Hi everyone,
So I am in the market for a new car and like the new Subaru Impreza and Civic. Budget is 24k . I love the Impreza more but the dealers don't seem as willing to do a deal which puts it out of my price range.
So how much should I try to haggle down a new Civic base VTI to ( 2016 built registered 2017)? Honda's RRP is $24999.
Also can someone help me understand why the RRP is so high. Most of the car reviews say its $22,390, I assume before on road costs, but even with rego ($787.40) motor vehicle duty fee(~700) and transer fee (19.50) that should only come to around $23,900……so am I paying for dealer delivery fees or have i got it wrong?
Thanks
When I moved from the US, I was a little shocked to see the state of Honda here. There they are no 1 or 2 in many segments (Accord, Civic and CR-V).
But here they are lagging and their dealerships are horrible too. They dont have any good transparent sales which is sad as they have better quality than most.
Anyways coming to your question, you should use this as a guide.

So I would say anywhere between $23,500 to $24000 is a good price especially since this is MY16.
On the other hand, is there a chance that Honda may have a plate clearance sale anytime soon?
