Currently with Telstra cable… overall very happy, and consistent speeds - paying $119 p/m for 700GB + Unlimted landline.
We will be moving homes in a couple of months and considering my options. Recently switched to Optus mobile so can take advantage of their offered $20 discount on any of their home broadband so potentially I am looking at their 'Unlimited' plan for $60 p/m (Advertised as $80 p/m)…
I'm not fussed about having a landline as only telemarketers call… :-P
How is Optus cable tracking these days? (Some reviews online are from 10+ years ago so not a good indication) I'll be moving to Wantirna South (VIC) - any congestion issues??
Obviously the cost saving to switch looks fantastic but don't want to feel like i've gone back to dial up speeds!
Your feedback is much appreciated!!
It literally depends where you live. I am bitterly disappointed with Optus cable 1.9mpbs upload, which in reality is far too slow these days for a connected house, but I don't have any options. On the other hand I have consistent 100mbps downloads, (some people in congested areas don't get that). It is cheap, but the second NBN is installed here with decent upload, I'll be switching.
