28 Degrees "Pay My Account" Unavailable

Talk about making it bloody difficult to pay these idiots.
I haven't been keen about using their stupid service centre to pay my account but thought I could live with it.
Now I have tried to use their page to pay my card twice in two days and both times it said that "feature" was unavailable.
What gives?

    Did you try to use different browser to see if it makes any differences?

    You can only make one payment this way (i.e. via the processing centre) every 5 days (I think) and it takes a few days for the payment to go through. And I'm pretty sure you can't pay more than the account balance either so it may be that your trying to pay for a purchase that hasn't gone through yet? Don't ask me why they have these rules.
    Honestly just pay the 95cent fee and pay by BPay, it's much easier.

      My monthly account payment is due in a few days, my statement and my current account both show money owing, and I haven't put any money on it in a couple weeks.

    I have had universal problems filling in forms since a recent Chrome update…seems to NEED to select "Request Desktop" ticked in the menu to get browsers to let 'click' options work….the other problem come in the 'auto fill' feature, it now adds a 'space' after each entry which sometime causes the Web site to reject the information you are filling in.

    I have not had any problems with paying either more than what's due or paying early…I even pre paid $500 because we were not going to have Internet for a couple of weeks.

  • I had this exact problem 3 months in a row. Kept ringing them, 30-45 minutes of my life every time. Promised they would fix it, and notify webmaster, never fixed. Had to cancel and re-register twice with different login/password before it started working again. I normally only make one transaction a month to pay it, so none of their normal excuses apply. Their system is just stuffed. The one improvement over a total cluster**** is that they do accept payments in excess of the owed amount, they didn't used to.

    • Hi I have been using them for 6 months plus now and so far no problem. I use Chrome browser on desktop. What do you use?

      • 4 different browsers inc. Chrome, on 4 separate computers running Windows 7 through 10. Alternated between them while on the phone with their support personnel. None worked. As I said, the only way to fix this was to cancel my online account and create a new one. I've previously used the system for years without issue.

    Seems to be working OK at the moment, used it about an hour ago without any problems (Chrome browser on Mac).

  • I just got the old email saying my account is due, logged in and yes, pay from bank account is greyed out, first time ever. Haven't paid recently either…..
    Guess I'll try again in a few days to see if anything has miraculously changed…

    • I often find it is unavailable overnight, probably some IT maintenance issue. It should be available during the day or more "sociable" hours.

      • You are correct. It's working fine this morning and I just paid ok.

  • For those who find this later…

    I think it is when they go into "Batch" at night. All the AU banks do a "Batch" each night where they transfer all the daily transfers between each other.

    I have seen this quite often with 28 Degrees. 10:45pm in Brisbane had it not working. It will work tomorrow morning or later tonight depending on how long batch takes.

    • Yah I found this quiet annoying. And another thing - they have about 5 days clearance, thus if you pay today - you can't pay with the same method within 5 day. You can't as well download transaction list in case you need to copy to spreadsheet or something. Probably the only financial institution that can't do this. Yes on monthly statement you can convert the transactions to excel.

  • Just use BPAY to pay it off, it charges a small fees but its just another way to pay your Latitude card.
