My father's Huawei Ascend G300 has died and am looking for a cheap replacement for him. Pretty much all he does are calls and accessing the AldiMobile app to check his balance. The $19 Boost Indy would have been perfect, but I can't find stock of it anywhere!
If he doesn't use a lot of apps and can do well with just the basic ones, get him a windows phone. It has a decent battery times and all the necessary features plus a decent camera. Androids cost too much for fewer specs, unless you're not going for the likes of Samsung, LG and Motorolla.
There isn't a Windows phone version of the AldiMobile app, which he's used to using to check his balance. Tried to find the Boost phones at various other Australia Post stores to no avail today, will keep trying!

Boost Alcatel Quatro for $49 from PostOffice although stock may be very limited as well.
