We are purchasing a PS4 and want to get Lego Dimensions which is on sale from Amazon US….would that work on an AUSTRALIAN PS4? I've read different things online…
Can I play US games on an Aussie PS4?
Comments
I could be wrong, so feel free to correct me someone. But AFAIK the PS4 itself isn't region locked (so yes you can) BUT I think the DLC is, so you'd need to buy US DLC if you have a US game, assuming you'd want DLC (I think anyways).
if you buy US DLC, then you have to play US DLC in US PSN account, simple as that.
US Game playable on Aussie PSN and Aussie DLC of that game will work on Aussie PSN account.
example: few weeks ago there was a free dlc for watch dogs 2 in usa/canada psn but not for europe(australia), but I had physical edition of watch dogs 2 and i would have been able to play that dlc on usa/canada psn but not in my 90% completed watch dogs 2 save file.
Yes. You can play US retail copies but if you download DLC for that same game from your Australian account, it won't work
Brilliant thanks everyone!
Yes but you need a US PSN account. Meaning if you have a AU one you will need to be logged into the correct account to play different games. Also AU credit cards won't work on the US PSN account so you will need a US credit card or you can buy US PSN gift cards from Amazon with your AU CC.
As stated above, you only need a US PSN account for the DLC. You can play a US game on an AU account.
You can, yes.
