EB Games: "Epic" Clearance (Dishonored 2 CE $97, Guides from $1)

120

Hey Guys,
Canspend just picked up the latest "sale" at EBGames. There are some decent price reductions, but the majority of items have been this price before.

Some examples:
PS4 Dishonored 2 CE
XboxONE Dishonored 2 CE
Wii U Smash Bros Controller - $19

Using the following pages will display the latest reductions and if they've been that price before:
PS4 - CanSpend.com, Xbox ONE - CanSpend.com, 3DS - CanSpend.com, WiiU - CanSpend.com

Mod: Updated deal to meet 3rd party website guidelines and marked user as 'referrer'

  • Wow that's a lot of ads @ canspend. 107 pages just for xbox one? Any way to get a full list?

    • No, but that's 107 pages from many different sales/sales periods. It's sorted by day and savings as a percentage so you should only have to look at the first few pages to see the recent price reductions.

Is this just a veiled advertisement for canspend?

in a way - OP is the coder/designer/maintainer for CanSpend (see discussion in https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/266135)

but their website is adblocker friendly, so ad free bargains are good bargains

      • +3

Makes sense. I thought op would declare their affiliation but this is the internet after all.

        • Someone lying on the internet? Well i never!
          fans oneself

        • Your right, l will in future!

I built CanSpend as l like to collect games (sadly more than l play). So at the start it was just a SQL database. Then l thought it might be useful for others so l made the site.

Ads are there to (hopefully) recoup costs, which are about $30 a year. Sadly, Google Ads hasn't been a big money maker.
But, l'd be happy to get to the point where the site is cost neutral.

EB Games could use an upgrade in their price setting department: FIFA 15 is $9 while FIFA 15 (preowned) is $12

    • +1

It's intentional. They keep the prices on pre-owned products high during pre-owned sales.

      • OK, wasn't aware of it. Do you know why they would do that?

        • most of the time when used are more expensive then used it's because there is maybe 10 left new in the whole company. So for all purposes they are out of stock.

        • Jacking prices up = make more money?
If you look through previous posted EB games deals for pre-owned 2 for 1 sales, you'll see plenty of neg votes and comments regarding the pricing.

@BTRaynes: Yeah you're right. I guess there might be some people who don't realize that a brand new copy is cheaper than the preowned copy.

Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess HD Collectors edition guide down from $49.95 to $19.95. Great deal especcially if your local has stock.

    • Thanks mate been waiting for it finally can get it. Nothing in local store

  • Can the Smash Bro's controller be used as a normal controller in other games? o.O need one for Mario Kart!

  • Any cheaper from them and it must be Pre-owned sells as "New", or must be something missing(bonus code, etc).

  • $10 for postage on a single game? EB has completely lost the plot.

  • I bought it for the Mask and now i have a Dishonored 2 cd key :/

    • Sell it on G2A. You will probably get a bit for it.
