Nobody except you keeps their phone for more than 4 years so they don't care.

      • Nobody except you keeps their phone for more than 4 years so they don't care.

His point was if the small battery dies during the day/flight, you could switch it to a new charged one.

        • I used to do that when phones didn't last very long on a charge. The problem was, every time I changed phones, I had to buy new batteries and the associated external battery charger.

With newer phones I don't find it much of a problem any more as they last longer. Power banks with QuickCharge are good enough for me, and the same power bank will work with any phone I buy.

I'm guessing the 11 is going to be closer to $1k so this is still a good deal

  • Does anybody know if the Nougat rollout for HTC10 has come to Australia yet?

    • havent seen any sight of it, i might see if I can load the mainland europe RUU that has just started rolling again in the last few days.

    • Not yet on the carrier versions of the 10, they found problems with the update so rejected it and notified HTC.
International version (this deal) and US unlocked have nougat already.

      • what is an "international version"? I bought mine unlocked from JB Hifi and still no sign of nougat. As far as I am aware whatever region you buy in you are still restricted to that region ROM by HTC and OZ region is still in pipeline.

        • Testing for the unlocked version is done by Vodafone. So the unlocked version won't see Nougat until Vodafone approve it. (it's currently testing)

Bugs with Nougat have been very problematic. HTC, Samsung, Sony and ZTE all having issues with software released to carriers. See here

        • @Dano33:

How do you know that Vodafone does the testing? And does this mean even though I bought it unlocked from JB Hi Fi I get a Vodafone ROM?

        • @Gr8deel:

I can't remember where I heard it originally. Vodafone have been doing testing for unlocked HTC devices for years. It's reported on whirlpool forums as well.

I believe the ROM isn't the same as the Vodafone one but maybe double check in whirlpool forums Htc 10 thread

is it a reliable seller???anyone dealt with that before???

    • Yes and no.

My experience is that you recieve what you ordered in a reasonable time frame. Warranty issues though are a nightmare, and they basically right you off and never reply to emails.

Also beware of all the positive reviews online. They offer a small refund 'insentive' ($4 from memory) to write them a positive review, that's why they get a lot of good reviews.

I bought my s7 edge around 6 months ago and the phone totally dead yesterday. as they required, I have to uploaded a video to show them the problem. still waiting the replying. will see what happened….

        • Sorry man, that's a bummer. Hope it works out for you, they certainly make it hard with having to do videos etc.

Be prepared that they will probably try to lay the blame on you, saying that it has been dropped or water damaged. This is a common complaint in forums.

        • Finger cross for that

        • @beerbudget:

they certainly make it hard with having to do videos etc.

I actually find videos much easier than trying to explain a problem in words. It would be solid evidence of the problem too.

      • Indecent incentives.

  • just a heads up:
beware of this seller. i purchased an LG phone last year and they sent me a display model or a return: had scratches, packaging was dirty. refused to partially refund (i requested a 10% refund via paypal dispute, since the phone was not new)

    • Why did you ask for refund of 10%? If I bought something described as brand new and received something second hand, I would be getting a full refund. Especially with PayPal. They have a 14 day return policy too?

      • it was a gift for someone else.

yes, they offered a conditional full refund (if the returned item is in resellable condition, which is kind of subjective, because it originally was not new), plus i had to post it back at my expense.
