I would like to email Westpac when I log in to My Account. Thought I’ve done it long time ago but cant figure out how to do it now. Called Westpac and the person not talking sense- told me that it cant be done. So walked to the Branch and show them the website on my mobile, with Inbox, Sent… The person still told me it cannot be done! Not that the person could explain what would sit in that “Sent” box. Screenshot attached (http://imgur.com/a/KAxYI). Hope someone can shed some light as I really hate to call them.
Thanks heaps!

This is Absurb! So what is that "SENT" thing for??
I have never come across a bank which doesnt have this. Even NAB has online email.
And I'm paying a few hundred dollars for my Altitude Black :-(
Time to switch….I am also planning to switch as soon as period for 1% purchase interest is over.
Maybe when you apply for something, but more likely it's just a bad interface/feature doesn't exist.
You can also click products > Bank accounts > email us.
My test message didn't go to sent though
@jaybot: I got my message sent through. The trick is that they don't allow the use of Apostrophe in the message, so don't say "don't", say "do not".
Apostrophe often causes SQL injection which is a security problem due to the poor use of database connector. It seems instead of fixing it they applied the restriction to the users.
@enveloped: Hi, did you go thru "Bank Accounts"? I looked at "Credit Card" and they dont have any email function.
Still cant believe I cant email the bank after signing-in. Even NAB can be emailed…..
Thanks but I'm really after a Secure Mail. One I can send thru My Account..
That is a link to the inbox. There is no "New" button to create a message. So OP can't send.
@mskeggs: no
@jaybot:
Sorry, I mixed up the tab I had open on the inbox with your link destination. I get the following error when following that link:
An error occurred preventing the system from displaying the page requested.
Please try again or call us on 132 032 for assistance.But if I go via the products > Bank accounts > email us, I get the form to open new bank accounts.
@mskeggs: One word: frustrating.
I think the feature used to exist in the old version of the website, so I'm guessing they kept the sent box for users who had previously sent messages, even though it doesn't work now.
I think there used to be a new message form where you could send a message with a drop down list of topics, but I don't think I ever used it.Thanks! It makes more sense now.
Perhaps I should ask this question in the IT section…
They have worst internet banking. I think you cannot send message via internet banking and it was confirmed to me by various Customer Service Representatives.
