Whatever its probably not a great time to sign up for a 24 month plan right now, wait to see the reactions by others
I am on the $30 plan with my telstra iphone. I also get a $10 data pack each month. I called up last night to change my bonus option and the sales guy said my data pack was out of date and upgraded it. He said that wouldn't have happened if he didn't offer it.
What did you got from/to in your data pack? I did notice they have recently added some browsing packs - right up to 9GB/mo. But that was before all this iPhone inspired competition, so hopefully they will give better value on those too. I'm on the piddly $5 30MB pack (because it gives me $0.25 excess out of my FF cap)
And this doesnt apply to existing customers. Grr!
Went on a $49 cap a couple of weeks ago - Telstra should up all users to 500MB. 200MB is bad, but what's worse is there is no "Tribe" (free usage sites) when you get an HTC Desire through Telstra.
So far over two weeks it's been a bad experience, they have a problem with their mobile data usage. i.e. my account will not show how much data I've used, apparently it's a known problem with their system and someone will get back to me when it's fixed. In the meantime I have no idea if I've gone over my 200MB limit and whether I should be expecting a huge bill from these idiots.
