    Dash Cam $107.91 (Email only)

How do they email it to you, is it like Wonka Vision ?

    • +1

Realised how silly it sounds, fixed it now.

  • Same Viofo A118C was us$11.11 in November deal with GB. Bought then, yet to install.

  • A118C2 out now marginal difference.

    • A118C occasionally won't record due to card error even though it records on the same card the next time it starts.

  • +5

It will automatically work when the car ignite.

Good for capturing your panicking self on video.

  • Got mine A119 GPS for same price (Approx $100) last year

  • Any ozbargainer real life reviews on the A119C?

    • Did video review on the A118C2 myself - marginal improvements over the A118C. https://youtu.be/g3Dr-x-jRgQ check my other videos on my channel.

      • I also write my reviews on the DashcamTalk forum if anyone interested.

    • There are good reviews on the Dashcamtalk forum.

Wouldnt this one be better priced with GPS.$132.42 Includes a 64gb card plus cash rewards?

    https://www.zapals.com/viofo-a119-1440p-car-dash-camera-64gb…

They also sell one without the gps unit for a bit cheaper including the memory card.

    • I'd be weary using Samsung cards. The recommended is Transcend.

      • I am using 3 Samsung cards in 3 different dashcams at the moment. 2 of them EVO 32GB cards and the other one is an older series 32GB card. They have no problem at all.

        • I've got to admit, my Samsung EVO cards struggle on very hot days after the cars have been parked, I hear the A119's dinging away in the background every 5mins or so…and we have tinted windows!

  • +2

Got the A119 GPS in the last deal, seems to have held up well in the heat, video quality is pretty good, etc. It's my first dashcam so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I like it a lot so far. :)

Also it only took a couple of days to record an idiot… someone trying to drive the wrong way on a 4 lane one way street…

  • Has anyone ordered from Foxoffer before? How's the service and delivery time?

EDIT: it $89 - $129 USD from Foxoffer, which is higher then GB.

  • What is the difference between both models? Is it only the resolution and GPS function?

I can see that the GPS function supports LDWS and FCWS, but I don't know how it works. And it'd be great if it has (fixed) speed camera warning.

    • The A119 is the updated version of the A118c but supports a much higher native resolution.

The A119S is same as the A119 but has a Sony sensor giving better video quality. They've released a newer firmware version which is meant to really make the a119s perform better, so just keep that in mind if you're watching videos and can't find a difference.

  • Is GPS a really needed feature for these devices? I've read that you can be scrutinised for every bit of detail even when you're not at fault and that the GPS coordinates + speed is sometimes not in your favour when making insurance claims.

    • +2

I personally don't use the GPS function. For insurance they can only accept speed if the police confirm it.

      • It's also noteworthy that the GPS module gives you other features like lane departure & overspeed warnings etc.

  • Snapped up the A119 non-GPS for $99 AUD from GearBest.

Any recommendations for a 32Gb Micro SD card? I read online that Sandisk and Toshiba aren't recommended… ??

    • +1

How did you get it for that price ?

Transcend is the recommended memory card. I buy mine from amazon as it's heaps cheaper than here.

  • +1

    If you've missed out on r3crac's post for VIOFO A119 with GPS - US $74.99;
The previously expired code 'degr' now works.
Applies to VIOFO A119 with GPS - US $77.99. I'm getting AU $105.05.

  • If you don't mind Everbuying and you are on their mailing list, you should receive an 'email only' offer for VIOFO A119 non-GPS for ~AU $91.

    • Thats a great price. I've never bought from them before, are they reliable ?

      • They are as good as GB… a bit hit or miss. They have been around here for sometime with some good deals. Similarly to GB, some ppl have experienced issues related to customer service, shipping or product quality.
