Hi there guys! I know band 28 seems like a bit of a OB meme but I mainly use my phone in remote settings so a non band 28 phone is a deal breaker. So as far as I can see the only band 28 Xiaomi is currently the Redmi Note 3 Pro, is this the case? If so does anybody have some news on upcoming releases as would prefer to have the mi5 or similar as its a flagship it will no doubt have more support ect. Or any other suggestions on good VALUE for money phone under $300 that fits the bill for remote communication and decent specs… My Iphone 4s is starting to really battle so want a bit more capacity than that
Band 28 Xiaomi Phone Any Other Options Other than Redmi Note 3 Pro?

Oppo F1s has B28 and can be bought for ~$300 locally at OW & HN
Ill have to look into the Oppo F1s as I am unfamiliar with them. Do you get as much bang for your buck as the Xiaomi??
No, in terms of price/performance, but you get local sales and warranty.
They are what I suggest to people considering their first China phone. And you get trs if you are travelling.
I gather oppo own one plus (is that new, or am I behind) so they are committed to the premium value segment.
As a Huawei mate 8 dual sim international version user, I can confidently say the lack of band 28 when compared to my LG g5 is negligible to non existent. I've managed 50 Mbps down on the ookla speed test in both Macquarie Park and Rhodes with the Huawei
Ok cheers, Im mainly worried about plain old phone (call) operation as we do a lot of remote 4x4 touring and are on the road for the next 12 months and its a world of difference between my partners phone and mine, both have band 28 but dont want to have any poorer reception than her one.
I don't have band 28 on my phone on the Sydney fringe, and it is fine, but you are right to need it for regional areas.
In the same way, you can't take ALDI or Telechoice, who are Telstra network resellers, you need Telstra for remote areas, there is no alternative.
Just go the note3pro. have it myself and is fantastic.
I used the search on gsmarena, it's not always accurate (in terms of getting the bands right etc), but it may be helpful:
http://www.gsmarena.com/results.php3?nPriceMax=250&s4Gs=28
Make sure you check the phones individually to be sure it has band 28, I found at least 1 phone that gsmarena claimed had b28 which didn't.
