Free Cannondale Packs with Cannondale Bike Purchase (Via Redemption)

40

Looking for a road bike and was told that if I bought a Cannondale, that I could redeem a Cannondale Pack from the manufacturer via Cannondalepack.com.

You either get a performance pack (valued at $350) for bikes over $1500.00 or a sport pack (valued at $150) for bikes under $1500.00.

Pretty decent bonus if you were already planning to buy a bike.

Looks like the redemption is also available from other stores going by the list of Cannondale dealers from the drop down menu, so the offer is probably nationwide.

Happy bike shopping.

Deal link should go to the redemption page cannondalepack.com not the FaceBook page of Bike Force Docklands since you can buy Cannondale bikes at many other stores.

    • Done. Please use the report link in future.

    • I agree - just included the link the Facebook page because that was where I heard about it.

I wouldn't believe them RRP's it not as good a deal as it sounds.

    Bottle $25 (Camelbak Bitevalve)
    Multi Tool $30
    Track pump $40
    Bike Pump $35
    Cap $10
    Bottle cage $10
    Messenger Bag *??? $20
    Saddle Bag $30

$200 Roughly and if you buy this from a bike shop or during a sale at wiggle or something I'm sure those prices could come down.

  • I would definitely question the values of the items in those packs. Looks like the $200 difference between the packs is:

    • multitool
    • bottle cage
    • mini pump

No offence but if you didnt need cannondale written on the side you could probably grab all 3 of these in the next Wiggle/CRC sale for $50-$60. Last time I spent a couple of grand on a raod bike (last year) I had them knock $$ off the price and throw in stuff like pedals, bidons etc for free.

Good luck with your Cannondale, I would like an evo hi mod frameset but not sure the $50 worth of cannondale merch would sway me.

You should be able to get the packs from the Cannondale on top of the discounts that you can negotiate with the store. So double win, if you were planning on getting a Cannondale bike anyway.

    • I'm after a synapse and its $300 cheaper from overseas inc shipping so rather the $$ than extras …..

      • Got a carbon synapse disc ultegra for $3300. Think it's a great deal and the bonus pack to sweeten the deal :)

        • Sounds like you got a great deal.

Got a Caad 8 with 105 groupset for $1249! Really happy with the price and the bonus pack!!!

What did others end up getting?

        • @ceftax3: Congrats! It is a great bike and a great price too. Also the bonus pack I got was of really good quality stuff. Very happy with the deal and I love my Synapse.

Still, if you needed to have a Cannondale to impress your mates at the cafe after riding 180 clicks, and before rearranging the entire cafe furniture to accommodate your lycra clad, clippy cloppy shoe wearing group and ordering smashed avo on toast and a super hot large double shot soy cappuccino to give you energy for the next 80 clicks… some free stuff would sweeten the deal a bit.

      • +2

You forgot the bit about us all being sweaty, smelling bad, being loud and interrupting the polite conversations of other cafe' patrons. Also forgot the reference to our'junk' in lycra. Sometimes the bit you are making fun of is the best part of the ride! I'm not sure I would be impressed by a Cannondale though, maybe if it had e-tap or the new DA Di2 Gruppo.

        • Also, bonus points for having Orica Greenedge on your jersey.

        • @iforgotmysocks: Rule #17 http://www.velominati.com/the-rules/ wearing team kit is a definite no-no unless you are being paid to be on the team. Same goes for wearing a Jersey you haven't earned like a replica yellow TDF jersey etc. Also It is now Orica Scott! Big Qudos is for something like a finisher's jersey from something hard like the 3 peaks challenge or something cool like one of the boutique cycling kit makers such as Black Sheep, Rapha etc

        • @2ndeffort:

Does that mean I'm out of the cycling club :-(

        • @iforgotmysocks: All just a bit of fun and something to wind somebody up about in the coffee shop!! ;)

        • +2

Yeah you wouldn't walk down a shopping mall with a placard advertising a store and not be paid yet people pay for a jersey and advertise a company….

Can't wait to see team McDonald's, KFC, or hungry Jack's jersey.

The riders are fatter at hungry Jack's.

      • Hmm true and they do lifetime warranty on frame in the same continent as purchased … So I guess the bonus pack is sweetener rather than buy bike from overseas.

    • +3

you were wrong, I received my pack yesterday. They are very good quality stuff.

Bottle cage is carbon fibre (28g) ($50+ ?)
Floor pump is of excellent quality ($75 ?)
Multi-tool is nice and lighter (and it has the chain-tool as well) ($30 ?)
mini pump is good quality as well ($20 ?)
saddle bag is very nice and good quality would cost around $30+

The cap and messenger bag of just pretty ordinary quality tho

Glad people are benefiting from this deal.

  • Cannondale, "lovingly" referred to as Crack'nfail in the MTB community

    • Still their motorbike looked good when they had a go a making one

    • Do the frames have a bad reputation….I thought they were the bees knees. Or is it just MTB frames.

      • I have always heard they have a good reputation for road bike frames, dont know much about their MTBs. This year the Drapac-Cannondale team in the World Tour (highest level of road cycling) will be riding Supersix Evo Hi Mod frames. Last year i think Dimension Data were on Cannondale.

One point on lifetime warranty frames is that they are normally only valid for the original purchaser. If you buy 2nd hand off somebody else the warranty is normally void.

Whether they aer any better than Cervelo, S-Works, Trek, Canyon, La Pierre, Giant, Argon, Factor etc is probably a matter of opinion. A bit like buying a car, there are awards and reviews and opinions. Probably safe to say their high end frames aer up there with the best of them.

  • What about the motor-cross motorbikes?

    • +1

I think atk actually made their engine,
they may have suffered some reliability issues?

  • How about this, this seems a good deal, if after a road bike, almost half price it's RRP (http://www.pushys.com.au/mekk-poggio-1-6-carbon-road-bike-20…).

    • @ ozf1: Don't just focus on the discount as some of the RRPs are not realistic. Check the specs but most importantly, get something the fits and serves the right purpose for you. For example don't get a road bike if your daughter wants a bike with a basket to pick up stuff from the local shops etc.

      • Cheers ceftax3, I wouldn't buy it for her, as I mentioned on my post, she doesn't want a road bike, she likes the hybrid style. I use the RRP as a guide only, I then do what you suggest and look at the specs/components. We only have so much time unfortunately. Having recently visited a bike shop or two, Most bikes around similar RRP offer pretty much the same. So when you get a $100 or better $200.00 off an RRP you do get a better altogether bike… If you are familiar enough with the different offerings, you are able to better discern the better deals.

  • Anyone got a confirmation after submitting the form?

  • +1

Yep, got confirmation text message yesterday and just picked it up

    • +1

I didn't receive any sms but I called the shop and they said they have a box from Cannondale and no idea about what it is :)
It happened to be mine :)

  • I sent the link to a reli who i knew had just purchased a bike & he qualified for the performance pack which he received today. The promotion wasn't advertised instore & they didn't know about it so thanks for the post alerting him about it.

  • +1

No problem. Glad your reli benefited from the post.

I think it is a pretty good deal if you were already planning to buy a Cannondale bike!
