Shaver shop have reportedly sold fakes in the past…Chemist Warehouse I can't say, I haven't seen their packaging but the picture looks the same as what I got from Coles

    • Eep, I was going to say that shaver shop usually has the 4 pack for $20. I guess they might be a bit risky

Kogan has 8 packs for $9, they say Oral b and fit our toothbrushes, but come in a flat blister pack. For $9, I'm cool wit dat.

Edit: Noticed the Kogan ad now says Oral B compatible, probably the same ones repacked, again, they do the job.

    • Some testing has apparently indicated that there is some shedding of bristles and lack of durability with the "compatible" ones. Something to keep in mind.

      • Aren't you supposed to replace your brush every 3 months anyway, I will see how long they last, and report back if it is not acceptable. I don't understand the neg vote on my comment, except a petty rivalry really.

  • Anyone have issues where after a while the heads stop rotating well with any sort of pressure applied on the tooth. I find that before the bristles wear, it's much more likely I'll have to thrown away the head because the rotating mechanism stuffs up.

    • Are they genuine, as if not that's what you get from fakes.

      • Genuine. The ones included in the box the Toothbrush came in. Also others bought from shaver shop.

        • If it is happening constantly maybe have a look at your toothbrush. It might be faulty, otherwise better talk to your dentist how you are actually using the toothbrush. I don't think you'd be unlucky to always get faulty ones when you buy them. So far I had never had any issues and I've been using it for the last 5 to 6 years.

When you say "stop rotating well with any sort of pressure applied on the tooth", you are only supposed to press a bit, not too much as the more you press the more it will erode enamel. Light pressing against teeth is ok.

        • @bargainparker:

The brush works fine out of the packet. My problem is after about a month or so, it appears to rotate normally, but if you put it against your finger the rotation stops with the slightest pressure, so obviously in your mouth the same is happening as soon as you touch your teeth with the brush ie it just isn't brushing effectively.

        • @constipated:

It might be a faulty sensor. Time for a new one perhaps.
