I just signed up to Telsra's M BYO tablet plan on the 12 month contract for $35
After clicking through the purchasing process online, the website added an extra special offer of 2gb of data on top of the 5, making it $35 a month for 12gb.
This wasn't advertised anywhere so might be a mistake.
Why? He's a credible source.
Not doubting him. It's just Telstra has form when it comes to denying such offers and you have to argue with their call centre monkeys.

I you click to purchase, it says bonus. 5gb, bonus 2gb. With the base 5gb, 5+5+2=12. If the notification email says 12gb, you're good to go. Otherwise, a screenshot is highly recommended.
I got mine better, $35 plan of base plan 5gb + 5gb bonus + 2gb bonus plus $10 off the monthly plan for new customer. So $300 over 12months for 12gb a month. What a ripper deal!

I just sign up normally as anyone does and sign up via iPhone safari.
Does the same work for S plan?

If your signing up to this Telstra plan & are going to go & buy a iPad you may want to consider this Optus deal works out way cheaper over 24m
