    I didn't neg it but
Most of the stores aren't even part of it :(
    Thanks tho
The closest store to me is like 20kms away :( haha

    • Ditto… Then again my closest of any JB is 15k's so this doesn't add much :P

  • Do you think it includes Blurays or not ?

    • Uh, why would it? It doesn't say anywhere that the sale includes blu-rays…

      • Sometimes when they have 20% off dvds they include the blurays and sometimes they don't

    • If it helps anyone for the 29th July Sales, 20% off DOES include blu-rays

  • +10

so i'm guessing they are going to jack up their prices by 25% before the sale ?

    • So much cynicism in here….

I don't know why you would say this other than trolling. Every single other JB percent off sale is always off the top of any current catalog prices and tickets. So I don't know why this would be any different.

  • +1

i usually get better discounts than that just by haggling… If these are just off the RRP it's probably not that good a deal…

    • +1

Quote the picture: "Discount off ticket price"
and it applies to all the categories. So yeah it is a real saving, depends how good the prices are now.

      • 20% off the "Buy 2 Get 1 Free DVD" offer is a serious discount.
        http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/dvd/tv-b2g1f.htm

That's roughly 48% off RRP combined.

Unfortunately for me, I bought all the DVDs I wanted from that sale last week. I could have saved an additional $100 with this offer.

        • I wonder whether you'll be able to combine the 20% off with the Buy 2 Get 1 Free TV DVD deal? This would make stuff super cheap. It would make $29.98 box sets equal to $15.98 each. Knowing JB there will be some made up rule on the night that it doesn't apply.

          • @sparkles: put your Haggling Hat on for the nite!

        • It was a further 20% off buy 2 get 1 free DVD

      • Is that what it mean? I am thinking about this 5.1 receiver $254 x 80% = 203.20

        http://www.jbhifi.com.au/jb-hi-fi-home-audio/receiver/sherwo…

        • Nice price for 5.1 with HDMI

  • So do we need to bring this flier in to get the discount?

  • +2

Good timing. Tomorrow i will research the price in JB Hifi for the car hifi that i have been wanting for the last month, then research for the best price on the net, and decide if 30% is worth it.
It covers car audio/video players for 30% right?

    • I like you.

  • +2

    No ACT stores.

    • sadness :(

    • +1

      No TAS store also :(

  • Is that mean they will discount further even the price on their catalogue?

    • yes

  • +2

Not that great a sale. You could haggle your way to these discounts any day by simply asking for a better price.

    • +2

Depends what. If you want to buy something that's $50, I don't think you can haggle it unless if you price matching.

    • +1

try haggle 300 bucks off a 1000 dollar item. :) you'd be lucky to shave 100 - 150 dollar off. unless of course you are getting small ticket items :) then u will not feel the savings..

      • The only thing that is 30% off is car stereo, and having recently had a new sound system installed from JB HiFi, I can tell you you can get up to 50% off on car stereo on the right items.

As for the other items, they are only 15% off, and it is easy to haggle $150 off a $1000 item any day.

        • Tthe only reason why you has 50% taken off some of your ticket item is because they charged u through your nose for installing it either that or they trying really hard to get rid of some outdated stok that they cant move..

I never trust any shop with my audio because they end up doing an absolute dog breakfast of a job but hey, not here to argue on the workmanship.

    • Would you haggle with the staff over a $30 DVD box set?

      • I was referring to to larger ticket items, sorry.

  • +1

there are some things that jb have less that 10% markup. Not everything is going to be good buy, but if you know what to buy, you can really save yourself some money.

  • Doesn't include any of the JB's close to me.

  • Cool my local one in Ballarat is listed.

So only this flyer is needed for the sale?

  • +1

just got an email with a link to the offer on their website: www.jbhifi.com.au/fandf/

  • How often do JB hifi have 30% off car audio sale? And do you guys think it'll happen again at the end of the year, and not be brand specific?

    • Quite often to be honest. At LEAST once/twice a year.

      • So you rkn end of year there'll be another 30% sale?

  • 15% off cameras- will it included dslr lenses or not?

  • 20% off CDs and games, does this apply to the following as well ?!

    STARCRAFT 2: WINGS OF LIBERTY
    HOT PRICE $69.00
In stock and Ready to Ship

It would come down to $55.20 ^^

    • It'd be nice if we could confirm this… wouldn't most stores have the right to exclude the game from the 20% discount?

    • I called them up and they said it applies to all software, inclusive of SC2. Copy reserved now.

  • i was wondering the same thing ^^ would SC2 have 20% discount as well but .. merh too far.

15% off this comes to $634.10. Anyone think I'll have much luck getting it any cheaper?

Same thing here, 15% off comes to $1271.60

What do you guys reckon? Good price for a 50" full HD plasma + 22" HD LCD?

    • Seems very good to me. The price says "ask for a deal" so i wonder if u can get 15% off a lower price than $1496.
      Try to haggle for $1200.

I'm tossing up wether to drive 30mins away to get a new car stereo head unit with 30% off. Might call them and ask what's the cheapest one they've got that has 3.5mm line in, for mp3 player.

        • I had seen that one, but i rang up the store to ask about cheap stereos with Line in, and he said this one was rubbish.
Cheapest he had was $75 for a Kenwood (after 30% off), or $95 for a Sony which had mp3 disc compatible, and remote control.

Unfortunately i had started driving home, when he rang me back. I was interested in the Sony, but i was too tired to go there, and thought maybe something on ebay for cheaper.

          • @Josh81: Ah k, jet thought I'd point out the cheapest. :)

But yeh, I would also pay a bit extra and get a better one.
